WIRED in partnership with Microsoft commissioned a series of short, stylish films looking at how Machine Learning and Microsoft Cloud is giving sports teams and individual players a competitive advantage.
Directed by Jeremy Groman, each film looks at a different sport in which data is making a difference. The series takes viewers behind-the-scenes at the Oxfordshire HQ of Renault Sport Formula One Team, to S.L. Benfica's state-of-the-art training campus in Lisbon and, finally, to Seattle where we learn how data is assisting golfers to refine every aspect of their play.
The project picked up two Lovie Awards for Branded Documentary and Technology.
